Securities settlement (DvP)

Link securities delivery to payment

Build a delivery-versus-payment service for tokenized securities on Prividium. Give buyers and sellers a settlement process in which delivery depends on payment, with controlled access to the transactions.

Protect both sides of the trade

A seller needs payment for the securities delivered. A buyer needs the securities paid for. Delivery versus payment links those obligations so that one becomes final only if the other does. [1]

Prividium provides private execution and permission controls for building that service. The settlement design must cover both legs, including any custody or cash system involved.

How a trade settles

Illustrative DvP flow. Supported assets, completion conditions and recovery procedures depend on the deployment.

  1. Agree the trade

The buyer and seller agree the security, quantity and payment amount. Their authorized operators or custodians submit the settlement instructions.

  2. Authorize the exchange

Commander governs permitted actions within Prividium. The settlement logic checks that the required securities and payment are available and that the trade’s conditions are met.

  3. Complete the linked transfers

The security moves to the buyer and payment moves to the seller under the agreed DvP mechanism. A trade that cannot complete follows the service’s exception and recovery rules.

What Prividium provides

Prividium Commander

Manage participant access and permissions for the contracts and functions used in settlement.

Prividium Ledger

Execute the onchain transactions in a private environment. Transaction data stays off the public chain. [2]

What your team implements

Implement the DvP settlement logic and connect custody, cash and operational systems.

Choose the cash leg and custody arrangements

The cash leg determines how payment can be linked to delivery. An external bank-account transfer requires a connection to that payment system and its finality rules; an onchain instruction alone cannot make it atomic.

Custodians retain responsibility for the transfers they sign. Before launch, define when settlement is final and how failed or stalled trades are resolved. DvP addresses the risk of exchanging one leg without the other; liquidity and operational risks still need to be managed.
